About Mr Mark Powell
Over the pas 10 years Mr Mark Powell has worked across Asia Pacific in Banking & Financial Services Executive Search. He has for the past 4 years operated his own boutique search firm Executive Directions. Mr Powell was ranked in the top 5 funds management headhunters in the 2004 Asiamoney poll and again personally rated in 2 categories in the 2005 headhunters poll – funds management and financial services middle and back office. He has been involved in over 100 senior placements for global banking, financial services and consulting companies across Asia Pacific. He has interviewed thousands of senior executives. He also has 12 years of corporate experience with large international companies: Citibank, Macquarie Bank and Shell. He ran the SME capital markets division at Macquarie Bank and was head of Product Management for Citibank’s Business banking Division in Australia. Mr Powell has an undergraduate degree in Economics (Qld Uni) and post graduate qualifications in Education (Qld Uni), Business Administration (QUT) and Applied Finance (SIA). He is a Fellow of Securities Institute of Australasia. He is licenced though Management Research Group international, Hermann International and ChangeWorks Global to use their respective range of psychometric tools and consulting processes. He is trained as a NLP facilitator and an executive coach through Coach U.
